Adult Programming

Candora Employment Preparation Program

Women who have little or no work experience who would like to connect to the community, meet other women, and make positive changes in their lives and community may be eligible to join this part time program.  This is a one-year program and free childcare is available. Participants will attend twice a week and experience a variety of workshops and work placements.

Adult Fitness

Get active and have fun too! Join us in the weight room, Tae-Bo, Walking, ball routine, badminton, low fat recipes and much more.  Free Child care is provided for participants in the program.

Memory Makers

Anyone who is interested in making a keepsake for their children, looking for time away from the kids and for an opportunity to meet other women should check out this creative program. There is a $10 cost share for the price of the book.  Space is limited.

English As A Second Language

If you are interested in learning English, but are in the very early stages this program is for you. Learn how to read, write, and speak the English Language at your own pace. This program is also available for those who want to improve in different areas. ESL is built around student needs and levels. No requirements to join and drop-ins are welcome. ESL is a joint effort of the Candora Society and WOOD Again.

This is a drop-in computer class, where participants can learn typing and Microsoft office basics.  Participants can also use the time to work on resumes.
